    Hello,
I am reaching out to you because my 6th maternal grandfather was Lieutenant Samuel Carter, a prominent member of the Warren community in the late 18th century. He was a selectman and represented Warren at the State Assembly in Hartford. in 1780 he was appointed Lieutenant of the 9th Company, 13 Regt. Alarm List, comprised of companies from Woodbury, New Milford and Kent. Samuel also built the farmhouse on the Cornwall road property now called Turning Point farm. I am trying to get as much information on Samuel and his son Samuel Jr., who I believe is the one who enlisted in Captain Albert Chapman’s Co. 7th Connecticut Line Regiment, 1777. He would have been 17 at the time whereas his father was 42. Any information you have on the Carters and Warren at that time would be greatly appreciated.

    Best Regards, Dan

    Hello,
A family member directed me to you. she says you are in possession of a photograph of Michael Barrett with his grandson John Henry Barrett (my Great-Grandfather – paternal) on the family farm, a photograph of the family home and map of its location. I don’t live locally but I would love to see this photo. Thank you so very much.

    Warm regards,
    Rebecca Barrett

I came across a 6″ by 6″ hangable tile “Warren Congregational Church organized 1756” in our family possession and would like information concerning the town, which I assume was Warren, CT, and the church as to whether it is still standing and conducting services, etc. If you could help me, would be appreciated. Frank Nikischer, Sr, living in Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA . Thank you.
